Return the Dishes

Tips for Using Chafing Dishes
Fill the water pan first. The water bath is what keeps food warm without scorching. Never light the fuel under a dry pan.
Light fuel about 15 minutes early. Give the water time to heat before the food goes out so it's hot from the very first guest.
Keep the lid on between servings. Covering the dish holds heat and moisture, and makes your fuel last longer.
Plan one dish per hot item. Don't crowd multiple foods into one pan — separate dishes keep flavors and temperatures right.
Have spare fuel on hand. Each can burns about 2 hours. For a long event, grab an extra can or two so you don't run out mid-service.
Mind the heat outdoors. Wind can blow out the flame — shield the dishes or place them out of the breeze at outdoor events.

How long can a chafing dish keep food warm?
As long as there's fuel burning and water in the pan, a chafing dish holds food at serving temperature. Each Sterno can burns approximately 2 hours, so for a longer event you'll want spare cans on hand to keep the heat going through the whole serving window.
How many chafing dishes do I need for my event?

Is fuel included with the rental?
Yes — each rental includes fuel holders and Sterno canned heat to get you started. For longer events, we recommend picking up extra fuel cans so you don't run out mid-service. Just ask when you reserve.

Can I rent for a single day or a full weekend?

Is there a deposit required?
Yes, a refundable deposit is required at the time of rental. It's returned in full when you return the chafing dishes clean and in good condition.
Do I need to clean the dishes before returning them?
Please return the pans emptied and reasonably wiped down. Ask our team about our exact return condition requirements when you reserve, so your deposit comes back in full.
